Heart Shaped WreathValentine’s Day is on its way! Call me sappy, but I absolutely adore this sweet holiday. I mean, what’s not to like? From chocolate and candy, to flowers and thoughtful gifts, I’m already feeling the love in the air. Plus, it’s another excuse for me to decorate a new wreath for my front door! I snagged these adorable heart-shaped wreath forms for just a buck each at Dollar Tree and created two different Valentine’s Day looks. They make great gifts or festive decorations for your home, classroom, or office. Wreath-making is also the perfect girls-night-in craft and a fun way to celebrate Galentine’s Day.

Cupid’s Arrow Wreath

I’m completely lovestruck over this first wreath! I decorated this one with pink burlap and added a handmade wooden arrow shot through the heart… try this one and you’ll be to blame for giving love a GOOD name. Bon Jovi and Cupid would both be proud!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Heart-Shaped Metal Wreath
  • Pink or Red Burlap
  • Hot Glue Gun (Not Sold at Dollar Tree)
  • Hot Glue Sticks
  • Wooden Dowel
  • Red Paper
  • Scissors
  • Wreath Hanger

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Start at the top of your heart wreath and weave the burlap ribbon between the wire as shown.Weave burlap through the wreath form
  2. Continue until your entire wreath is covered, securing the burlap in place with hot glue as needed.Heart Shaped Wreath Covered in Burlap
  3. Use hot glue to apply the wooden dowel diagonally onto the back of the wreath. This will become your Cupid’s arrow!
  4. Using scissors, cut a triangle and six 2″ strips of red paper to create the arrow.
  5. Glue the triangle to the top of the dowel and the strips, three on each side, to the bottom as shown.Wooden dowel to make arrow
  6. Allow the glue to dry for a few minutes, then hang using a wreath hanger.

Candy-Covered Wreath

Heart Shaped Candy Wreath for Valentine's DayMy two favorite things to do on Valentine’s Day is spread love and eat sweets… so I created this candy-covered wreath that embraces both! I used the heart-shaped wreath form and burlap again, but this time I added wrapped chocolates all over. Of course, I saved some extra candy to munch on while I worked.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Heart-Shaped Metal Wreath
  • Pink or Red Burlap
  • Hot Glue Gun (Not Sold at Dollar Tree)
  • Hot Glue Sticks
  • Wrapped Candies
  • Wreath Hanger
