Even if you don’t go anywhere near the water this spring and summer, pool noodles can still provide tons of outdoor entertainment! Add water balloons and play baseball or use duct tape to create pool noodle shapes and invent all sorts of games. The possibilities are endless!
Here Are a Few Fun Ideas to Get You Started:
- Obstacle Course: Attach pool noodles together and lay them out in the yard to create challenging jumps, slalom courses, goals for a ball toss, and more.
- Hopscotch: Tape pool noodles into circles using duct tape for a grass-friendly, no-sidewalk chalk version. Create one triangle shape for your starting point and arrange your pattern on the grass.
- Baseball: Fill a plastic sand bucket with small water balloons. These will be your baseballs! Tape four pool noodles into circles using duct tape and those can be your bases: first base, second base, third base, and home plate. Cut one long pool noodle in half to create two bats, one for each team. Divide up the family and start playing. Use the water balloons to tag runners and give bonus points for not breaking balloons. Most importantly, have fun!
