You guys, I could NOT be more excited for warmer weather. More pool days and backyard parties with the family? Yes, please! But, when spring turns to summer and the heat really starts to crank up, it’s easy for us to forget to stay hydrated when we’re having all that fun in the sun. So, every year, I set up a hydration station on hot days when we’ll be outside all day long. I stock up on a few brightly colored bins and baskets, some plastic water bottles, drink can coolers, and plastic straws from Dollar Tree. When it’s time to head outside, I arrange it all on a table on the deck. Then I add some ice to a large bin and fill it up with water bottles, juice boxes, sports drinks, and more. (It sounds like a lot of supplies, but for just a buck each, it really doesn’t add up to that much.) My whole family loves when I set this up, so I’m sharing my shopping list with you… and I hope your family loves it, too!
Here’s My Hydration Station Shopping List:
- Large Storage Bins
- Medium Plastic Baskets and Bins
- Drink Can Coolers
- Straws or Fun Straws
- Plastic Water Bottles
- Plastic Cups
- Bottled Water
- Juice Boxes
- Sports Drinks
- Chalkboard Sign (Optional, but So Cute)
A hydration station is the perfect addition to pool parties, birthday parties, summer barbecues, and even outdoor weddings! Choose baskets, bins, and bottles that match your color scheme or party décor. Kids and adults will love and appreciate having easy access to tasty, ice-cold drinks, letting everyone enjoy being outside longer. So there you have it… set up your own, grab a drink, wrap it in a koozie, pick your favorite straw, and get back to the fun!
