This next hack is for all my fellow parents, grandparents, teachers, and childcare leaders out there. Are the toys piling up and you’re running out of storage space? Maybe you’ve got the storage, but it’s those boring tubs that the kids probably can’t even open. I say, let’s fix that and I’m here to tell you how with just a few simple steps!
- Colorful Plastic Storage Bins – I used 10, but you can use as many as you would like
- Cable Ties
Follow Along Step-by-Step:
- Start by laying out the bins in the pattern you want. If you’re using big and small sizes, I suggest putting the small on top for a better balance.
- Next, use the cable ties to connect all of the bins together. Make sure you secure the zip ties well, but not too tight. If you pull them too tight it pulls the bins in awkward ways.
- Trim the extra slack from the cable ties, place your bins up against a wall or in a corner, and finally, place all the toys inside. You can even go one step further and make labels for each basket to organize the toys.
This super-simple storage hack keeps all the toys stored in a neat-looking space. It also allows for the kids to take toys out themselves, but most importantly, put them back!
