Host a FriendsgivingHosting a Friendsgiving this year? Just like Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving is a time to host friends, good food, and great times! What more could you ask for? I look forward to this time of year because it’s when my girlfriends from college and I finally have an excuse to get together and catch up. Plus, we get to enjoy some yummy food while we’re at it ;). Through the years, it seems I have remained my same frugal self, therefore I always keep Dollar Tree in mind when I am hosting a get-together. They have everything I need from charger plates and dinnerware to food and décor. Let me tell you, I know that being the “hostess with the mostess” can get stressful, which is why I have prepared a list of everything you need to host a budget-friendly and beautiful Friendsgiving using $1 products from Dollar Tree! Ready to find out how?

Start With Your Tablescape

Use festive faux flowers, moss, foliage, tealights, vase, votives, turkey salt and pepper shakers, burlap ribbon, and ceramic pumpkins for the center portion of your tablescape.Host a FriendsgivingHost a Friendsgiving

Use moss as the filler for the vase and arrange it with white faux berries and greenery to create the focal point of your table. Complete the look by adding a burlap bow to the vase.Host a Friendsgiving

Next, glue three foam pumpkins on top of one another adding moss and white berries for an additional festive touch. I painted my pumpkins white and the stem gold for a more rustic look. Place your tiered pumpkins on either side of your vase for a balanced appearance. Gourd job… the mood has now been set!Host a Friendsgiving

Create Your Place Settings

Using Dollar Tree’s gold faux wood plastic charger plates, white dinnerware, glass water goblets, green napkins, and ceramic pumpkins, you can create the perfect place setting for each friend! Use gold faux wood charger plates to tie-in to the rustic farmhouse look and place white dinnerware plates on top of them. Next, fold the green napkins and wrap them around the white dinnerware. Then, add an elegant, white ceramic pumpkin in the middle of your place setting. Finally, cut 2×3 inch rectangles out of black construction paper, fold them in half, and use a gold marker to write each friend’s name in a scripty font. All done — we’ll leave the seating arrangements up to you… but those are some gourd-geous looking place settings!Host a Friendsgiving

Whip Up or Get Started on Dinner, Side Dishes and Dessert

You cook the turkey; your friends bring the sides and desserts — it’s as simple as that! Have everyone sign up for a dish so you can avoid duplicates… no one wants four dishes of cranberry sauce and three pumpkin pies! Plus, Dollar Tree offers festive and elegant serving trays and bowls so you can dish the food out in style.Host a Friendsgiving

The Signature Drink

Festive drinks are always a must when hosting a get-together, am I right? This year, I went the classic route and chose the Wassail however, the Pie in a Mug is always a crowd favorite too! Check out these recipes here and follow along step by step.

There you have it! A Friendsgiving complete with all the trimmings.
