I have some serious tropical vibes going on lately. It’s summer and I’m loving all things sunshine, palm trees, beaches, pineapples, and my favorite… flamingos! Y’all already know I love succulents so I decided to combine both into one fun display: pink flamingo succulent planters. They turned out SO cute and are the perfect bright welcome in my front yard (or as I like to say, “a flamingle in the front yard!”). As a busy mom, I’m always forgetting to water the plants, so this faux succulent decoration is the perfect solution. Plus, I’ll never have to worry about them wilting in the hot summer sun.
I snagged these cute $1 plastic yard flamingos and faux succulents from Dollar Tree. I used a sharp knife to very carefully cut out a hole in the top of the flamingo’s back (sorry little buddy!). Then I inserted floral foam until it was packed to the opening of the hole. The last step was just pushing the succulent stems into the foam and arranging. I added dabs of glue as needed just for extra hold.
These flamingo succulent displays are great for front yards or backyards. Make one or two to place by an entrance or make a whole flock to line a walkway or pool! What a fun statement at parties, barbecues, and other summer gatherings. Check out even more succulent ideas on the blog!
