Tote Bag PlacematsIf you’re like me, you can never have too many bags! From small clutches to larger tote bags, I keep a few on hand at the office, in the car, and at the house. Recently, I even made my own and you’ll never guess what I used… a placemat from Dollar Tree! Call me crazy, but a folded placemat was the perfect size to fit my phone, pens, shopping list, and other small necessities. I can put this inside of a bigger bag or carry it as is, perfect to grab and go.

These Items are CLUTCH:

  • Fabric Placemat
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun (Not Sold at Dollar Tree)
  • Hot Glue Sticks
  • Ribbon (Optional)Placemat and ribbon

TOTEally Easy Tutorial:

  1. Lay your placemat flat and fold it in half or less than half, depending on the pocket size you want.Fold your placemat
  2. Use your hot glue gun to glue together the folded seams on either side, leaving the top open of course.Glue the seams
  3. Press the glued seams softly together, allowing them to dry and set for about three minutes.Hold glue in place
  4. If you want to add a handle, cut your ribbon to your desired length. Hot glue a small part of the ribbon in place on each end of the opening. Press together while the glue sets for another minute or two.Add the handle ribbon
